Health sector in Syria…. Deterioration and lack of medications

It is visible the deterioration of all the life aspects in Syria, deterioration is not related to food only, it is highly related to the increase of life costs, especially costs related to medical treatment, which is becoming a significant burden over people who are mostly under the average of poverty, and who are suffering to afford life costs.

Dr. Nasif, is one of the doctors working in a health center of Watan, confirmed to us the health sector situation has deteriorated recently, due to the increase in medications' prices, however, they have worked their best to relive the suffering of children, elderlies, and women overburdened by due to the conflict.

Watan has scaled up the support of the health sector, and increased the primary health services (panoramic, simple, and the X-ray), the labs and dentistry, in addition to many other specialized clinics and physiotherapy centers.

The Watan health program supports 6 medical centers in parts of Syria, and it is establishing public health centers free of charges, synchronized with emergency medical campaigns and vaccination campaigns.
