Job Summary

    WATAN is looking for a flexible and versatile Media & Marketing Manager who will be responsible for the growth of WATAN brand name, promote our Organization and increase Followers, Partners and Donors engagement.

Position Requirements

    • BS/MS degree in Media & Marketing or a related field.
    • Minimum experience five years in Media & Marketing together and managing, training and developing an integrated media team.
    • Strong relationships with the press, local, national, international media agencies and media platforms (News TV channels- Newspaper - Radio - News websites).
    • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate.
    • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends).
    • Strong analytical and project management skills.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and diplomatic skills.
    • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns.
    • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets.
    • Good taste, a sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication
    • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
    • Confident and dynamic personality.
    • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
    • Excellent communication, lobbying, and active listening skills.
    • Full awareness of the context of work in non-profit organizations.


    • Develop strategies and tactics to get the word out about our organization and drive qualified traffic to our front door
    • Design and implement local, national, international and social media strategy to align with WATAN goals
    • Design & deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution aligned with WATAN strategy
    • Suggest and implement direct marketing methods to increase the attention of the target audience
    • Manage and develop the WATAN's websites and media platforms
    • Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels – content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis, and much more
    • Produce valuable and engaging content for our website and blog that attracts and converts our target groups
    • Build strategic relationships and partner with key players, Partners and Donors
    • Be in charge of marketing budget and allocate/invest funds wisely
    • Creating a wide range of different marketing materials.
    • Maintain a strong online image for the organization through website & social media
    • Liaise with business development department to ensure brand consistency
    • Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals
    • Analyzing potential strategic partner relationships for organization marketing.
    • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant organization functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
    • Design and implement local, national, international and social media strategy to align with WATAN goals
    • Monitor local, national and international media agencies, and platforms
    • Communication with the press and ensure media coverage from the local, national, international media agencies, platforms (News TV channels- Newspaper - Radio - News websites) for WATAN activities, projects, and events 
    • Oversee WATAN Visual Identity and all media products 
    • Design and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like events and competitions
    • Experience in current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications
    • Experience in advocacy campaigns, events management and implementation
    • Preparing and marketing proposals for fundraising projects
    • overseeing the fulfillment of donor-funded advocacy projects
    • Leading and managing processes of a strategic advocacy plan related to programmes
    • Preparing and marketing proposals for fundraising projects
    • Developing policy work and activities.
    • leading and overseeing media team in strategy, planning, tactical execution, implementation, optimization and performance analysis.
